She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of dramatic performance. Her mother teaches her how to sing, but she began more intensive vocal training through Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In her early career, she was spent performing with various chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. In addition to being a local performer and instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her involved in a range of different projects. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations, for keeping this music alive.
